    “Alexandra Zvagelsky is an East Village based, first gen Russian/ Ukrainian cinematographer and producer. 

    Her breakout short film “The Penitent Magdalene” (2022) premiered at The Anthology Film Archives: New Screen Festival in 2023– followed closely by her award winning 16mm short film, “Колыбельная” (2023), which debuted at the DCTV: New Screen Festival in 2024.

    Through her films, ‘Sasha’ strives to introduce the world to a more nuanced, dynamic understanding of who we truly are as women— as well as preserving the histories, traditions, and folktales of her ancestors’ past.”
